Winnipeg Workshop

One Maker, Infinite Fandom

I'm Steven. The Laser Beaver is one person, one laser, and a growing pile of test pieces in a Winnipeg home studio. Everything here is made by me, one at a time.

From Fan to Fabricator

How This Started

It started as a hobby: some vector drawing, a laser, and a lot of ruined test pieces. Turns out I liked it more than most things I do, so it turned into a business.

Every piece is designed, cut, and finished by me. Locally sourced wood, sanded by hand, with none of the corporate polish. Just stuff I'd want to own myself.

The Promise

Made By A Fan, For Fans

No mass production, no drop-shippng, no mystery lumber. Just carefully made wood pieces for people who care about the details.

Hand Finish

Every piece starts as a digital drawing. I fuss over the lines until the cuts come out clean.

The laser does the hard part, cutting and burning the detail into birch, maple, or whatever the piece calls for.

Every piece gets sanded and sealed by hand, so the edges are smooth and it lasts.
